Digital Photography
What will we do?

Interested in a career using marketing skills, design or advertising? Do you like to capture in photographs things that you see? Maybe you love to record your life through the lens?
​​Digital Photography will give emphasis to the basics of photo composition, lighting, color correction, artistic perspective and output. We will work with enhancing photos using software for adjustments and effects. Students will create a blog and a portfolio using their best photographs. This course requires students to have access to a digital camera.
Objectives

I• Demonstrate working knowledge of various digital camera technology such as memory cards, card readers, point and click cameras, and digital single lens reflex cameras (DSLR).
• Prepare photos for print or monitor output.
• Evaluate frames for the best composition style for any given shot or picture.
• Determine greatest vantage point and focus for shot composition.
• Arrange photo and output to create the best color balance.
• Apply specific filters and image adjustment to photos to enhance look or achieve certain effects with photo editors.
• Demonstrate understanding of lighting and exposure control on the camera.
• Demonstrate proficiency in taking pictures in most environments.
